Toad Road is a grassy field with hills providing relaxing cool breezes. It only appeared in Mario Party 9 during the theft of the night sky's Mini Stars.

Description

Described as a grasslands stage, Toad Road provides cool breezes that blow across the hills and is a great spot to relax on a blanket.[1] Toad Houses can be seen dotted around the area.

Toad Road is split between an open grassy field to the right and a forest with darker coloring to the left. What splits the two areas are two cliffy sides with the initials "M P" on each side. A small island between the two cliffsides spirals into the number "9".

The right side houses two windmills with a red and blue roof respectively.

History

Mario Party 9

This area was once under the control of Bowser as one of numerous spots to house the stolen Mini Stars. A castle was placed on one of the cliffsides as a portal for any of his minions' battlegrounds. When arriving there to free those Stars, Mario and his other cohorts hopped in a car and started their road down Toad Road.

Bowser summoned a Lakitu and Wiggler to stop the group, but they were defeated as they ventured on to Bob-omb Factory.

Placement

  • Toad Road is within northeast running distance from Peach's Castle.
  • Upon arrival on Toad Road, it was daytime. Mario & Friends started running when it was nighttime, so some distance between Toad Road and Peach's Castle may have elapsed before it turned daytime.
  • The design used for the Castle is from New Super Mario Bros. Wii, placing Toad Road close to any of those worlds.
  • The right side of Toad Road resembles World 1 of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, with the striped grass and choice of hills coinciding with that world.
  • The left side of Toad Road resembles World 5 of New Super Mario Bros. Wii. The dome-like designs of the trees, green ground leaves with pink tips, and bramble vines support this connection.
  • The group's next destination was Bob-omb Factory, which is within running distance.
