Mario's Universe is roughly 1.38 billion years old, starting with the Big Bang, where the Stars created the univere.

This article is split into three sub-articles. The prehistory category spans from the beginning of the universe to around 3000 years ago, the ancient history category starts 3,000 years ago with the rise of the Tribe of Ancients, and the modern history category starts 100 years ago with the likes of Dr. Crygor and Professor E. Gadd's birth, spanning to roughly the modern day.

Of note is that Mario's Universe is cyclical. The universe exists in an infinite cycle of birth, death and rebirth, which means that the timeline dscribed here technically only covers one of those cycles.
