Modern history starts with 100 years with the birth of Dr. Crygor and continues until the most recent event in the Timeline.

Ancient history goes back 3,000 years ago with the rise of the Tribe of Ancients.

Legend

  • White: Events that have a strong case for a specific placement.
  • Cyan: Events that lack a definite placement, but which have a known range.
  • Yellow: Events that are likely simultaneous, or whose order cannot be determined exactly for one reason or another.
  • Pink: Events interpreted through theories from the Marioverse community.

Preparation Era

Big Baby Era

  • Bowser is born[19] (Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island)
    • Bowser's parents disappear for an unknown reason and Kamek becomes his guardian
  • Wario is born[20] (Yoshi's Island DS)
  • Kamek attacks the stork carrying Mario and Luigi to their home, kidnapping Luigi and causing Mario to fall to Yoshi's Island (Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island)
    • The Yoshi clan defeats Kamek and a powered-up Bowser, reunites Mario with Luigi, and rescues the captured stork, who then sets out to deliver the brothers to their home
  • Bowser takes over Egg Island (Yoshi's New Island)
  • The stork delivers Mario and Luigi to the wrong home (Yoshi's New Island)
    • Kamek and four Toadies attack the stork, kidnap Luigi, and cause Mario to fall to Egg Island
    • The Yoshi clan once again defeats Kamek and Bowser, as well as Bowser's adult self from the future, frees Egg Island, and reunites Mario with Luigi and the stork, who sets out to deliver the brothers to the correct home
  • Kamek engages in a last-ditch effort to capture Mario and Luigi while the stork is carrying them to their parents, but the Yoshi clan fends him off[21] (Yoshi Touch & Go)
  • Mario and Luigi are born (Yoshi's New Island)
    • Mario and Luigi become playmates with Wario, but aren't outright friends[22]
  • Waluigi is born[23]
  • Princess Peach is born[24]
    • Peach's parents disappear for an unknown reason and Toadsworth becomes her guardian
  • Kamek and Bowser from the future order an army of Toadies to kidnap several babies in order to find the seven Star Children (Yoshi's Island DS)
    • The Yoshi clan defeats Bowser and Kamek, and they return to their own time
  • A Yoshi defends six Yoshi Eggs from Koopa Paratroopas, Fly Guys, and Boos (Vermin (Modern))
  • Yoshi is born from one of the six defended Yoshi Eggs (Yoshi's Island DS)
  • Mario and Luigi become friends with Peach (Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time)
  • Wario moves away to Diamond City
  • Bowser steals the Super Happy Tree from Yoshi's Island and turns the island into a pop-up book; Yoshi and five other Yoshis set out to get it back and turn the island back to normal (Yoshi's Story)
  • A flower garden is protected from Fly Guys and Ukikis by the same Yoshi who defended the six Yoshi Eggs (Greenhouse (Modern))
