Toad's Factory is an industrial processing and shipping facility responsible for creating the Item Boxes seen in events such as Mario Karts and Mario Tennis (N64). It's the fourth and final course of the Mushroom Cup in Mario Kart Wii.
Its location in World 1 (New Super Mario Bros.) of New Super Mario Bros. is due to its distinguished yellow hills making an appearance.
Appearance
Toad's Factory consists of two yellow-roofed buildings with pieces of blue walls bolted together in some areas. The wider building holds a conveyor belt that stamps filled Brick Blocks into Item Boxes via hydraulic presses filled with Star Magic. Both buildings are outfitted with a large wind-up key and have interiors filled with large churning gears.
Outside the buildings, front loaders and cranes are used, the latter possibly used to lift the many shipping containers. The containers likely used to store the Item Boxes have a variety of colors, the sides stamped with Toad's emblem. The factory itself is placed close to the sea, likely to make shipping Item Boxes overseas more convenient.
Events
One tournament took place on this course, where competitors had to finish the track backward. Additional ramps were added to make this possible.
