New Super Mario Bros.
New Super Mario Bros. was the kidnapping and subsequent rescue of Princess Peach.
History
While on a stroll with Peach, Mario noticed a dark stormy cloud attacking Peach's Castle. Distracted by the attack, Bowser Jr. snook up and kidnapped Peach. Mario ran after the Koopa, getting himself hurt in the process before resuming the chase.[1] Luigi also joined to help.
During this adventure, Bowser fought the Bros. before being dropped into lava, reducing him to Dry Bowser.[2] After a series of more bosses, the Bros. reach Bowser's Castle where Bowser Jr. and the now-revitalized Bowser fight the two.[3] Successful in their defeat of the two Koopas, the Mario Bros. return Peach back to the Mushroom Kingdom.
All the while, Bowser Jr. drags his unconscious father away, angry at their defeat.[4]
