Mario

Mario, also known as Super Mario and the Great Gonzales, is the protagonist of the Super Mario franchise. He is world-famous for his frequent conflicts with Bowser to protect Princess Peach and the Mushroom Kingdom, and is regarded as a hero for this. However, Mario is considered a hero for other reasons as well; he has faced a variety of malicious enemies other than Bowser, and he has prevented events ranging in scale from the conquest of a territory to the destruction of all worlds.
