Subcon (species)

The Subcons are a peaceful fairy-like species. They reside in the Dream World, more specifically in the kingdom of Subcon (location), where they are led by their king.
History
Super Mario Bros. 2
Just before the events of Super Mario Bros. 2, Subcon was attacked by the 8 bits, led by Wart, who brought the Subcon under his spell and put them in a jar. Mario is contacted through his dreams by the Subcon, desperate for help and together with Luigi, Peach and Toad, Mario embarks on a journey through the Dream World to defeat Wart and the 8 bits. Once Wart is defeated, the Subcon celebrate and beat up Wart, before Mario and his friends return to the real world.
