BS Super Mario USA
BS Super Mario USA was Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad's numerous returns to Subcon to face off against the 8 bits, who were terrorizing several Subcons.
History
While Wart and the rest of the 8 bits were driven out of one Subcon since the events of Super Mario Bros. 2, it turns out that there were as many Subcons as people dreamed of. Thus, the 8 bits quietly slipped away into another Subcon to repeat their evil actions.[1]
The vassal asked of the King of Subcon to use the power of the stars to bring back Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad to save another Subcon. All throughout the adventure, Mario's side would be aided by the power of the stars to aid them in their adventure, such as annihilating enemies on the screen, receiving small invincibility, increased jump power, and other types of support. On Wart's side, however, they would also use the power of the start, but in devious ways such as throwing eggs or turning their troops into bombs. Mouser would also hide several golden Mario statues, which were placed as proof of peace throughout Subcon.
Their first foray back in Subcon would be to face off against the Super Birdos, three sisters consisting of Birdo, Red Birdo, and Green Birdo. The group defeats the Super Birdos and returns back to their own world.[2]
They then returned to face off against Tryclyde, the oil-loving secret weapon of Wart's army. Tryclyde apparently betrays the 8 bits to side with Mario and friends.[3]
Mario and friends are then back to fight Fryguy. The king of Subcon pretends to watch what Mario and his friends are doing, but he's watching sports games instead. Because the king and vassal can only contact the heroes via cellular phone, there's this whole commotion with an unknown recipient interrupting their connection.[4]
The group would return for the final time. They faced off against Green Birdo, the oldest sister of the Super Birdos and quite formidable. Afterwards it's a grand battle between every previous foe and Clawgrip, who was recently visiting the USA, returned and with new abilities such as disguising himself as Mario. Princess Peach is also kidnapped, but is then saved.[5]
Wart is driven away for the final time from Subcon and Mario and his friends could return back home safely.
Timeline
- This game is a direct sequel to Super Mario Bros. 2, where Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad are brought back to Subcon by its king.
- Wart returns, but is once again defeated by the heroes.
