Yoshi's Cookie was the event in which Mario & Yoshi saved their kidnapped cookies from Bowser.
History
Mario & Yoshi have just finished baking their cookies and were napping after a long time working. Taking advantage of their nap, Bowser steals all of their cookies, and now Mario & Yoshi have to save their cookies.[1]
The path was fraught with danger, but the two make it to Bowser's Castle and battle Bowser.[2] Bowser is defeated and the cookies are returned back home.
This event was reenacted as a paper puppet show to a couple of Toads. After the show, Princess Peach presents the tray of cookies from the show, which everyone then starts to eats.[3]
Timeline
- Yoshi appears in the Mushroom Kingdom, placing this game after previous titles where he lived on Yoshi’s Island.
- As seen in the Nintendo Puzzle Collection version of the game, Mario & Yoshi begin selling their cookies, but Bowser steals them. This places this game before the events of Mario’s Cement Factory (Modern), where the cookies are in produced and packaged in a factory with the help of Toad.
- Mario has his chef outfit in the NES version of the game, which reappears in Egg (Modern), Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart Tour.
- Exor or a giant sword appears in Bowser's Castle in the Nintendo Puzzle Collection version of this game, likely taking place not long after the events of Super Mario RPG.
