Wario Land 3
Wario Land 3 is Wario's foray inside the world of a music box.
History
Wario was driving around in his plane, the Bulldog, when a malfunction causes it to crash into the forest below.[1] Wario recovers from the wreckage but discovers a music box inside a cave. Investigating it closely. the music box glow before sending Wario inside of it.[2]
Wario wakes up to meet a large figure cloaked in shadow. The figure claims to be the god of this world, and that his power had been sealed away in several music boxes. He promises to reward Wario with all the treasure he finds if he breaks the seals that hold his power.[3]
Wario manages to unseal the figure's power and the figure reveals his full form: Rudy the clown.[4] With his full power recovered, he can resume ruling the world of the music box and the one outside. Wario fights the clown and defeats him, which causes the monsters on the land to return to their original human forms.[5] They return Wario back to his original world, along with allowing him to take all of the treasure he obtained along the way.
Timeline
- Wario’s plane, the Bulldog, is completely destroyed in a crash at the beginning of this game. This places it after previous games that featured the Bulldog.
- Wario doesn’t have his explorer hat, despite being on an adventure.
- Wario encounters Rudy and Mad Scienstein for the first time.
