Steam Gardens is the world’s most advanced greenhouse[1] and greatest flower garden.[2] It is located in the Wooden Kingdom, surrounded by large mountain ranges.

Characteristics

Steam Gardens is enclosed in a climate-controlled dome, keeping the temperature at a steady average of 82°F (28°C). The warm and humid conditions are perfect for growing flowers and other greenery. Its local currency is nut-shaped

Besides its technological marvels, Steam Gardens is also famous for its flowers, in particular, the Soirée Bouquet, a giant bouquet that can only be grown on two parts of the Iron Mountain.

History

It is unknown who built Steam Gardens or when, but it is described as “ancient”.[3]

Super Mario Odyssey

Bowser came to Steam Gardens while on his worldwide trip to plan his wedding with Princess Peach. Here, he stole the kingdom's prized flowers and the Soirée Bouquet for use at the ceremony. After leaving, he left behind Sherms and Hammer Bros. to defend the area and Torkdrift to continue collecting flowers from the gardens. Some Steam Gardeners were also kidnapped to attend his wedding.

Mario and Cappy followed pursuit shortly after, arriving in the gardens on board The Odyssey. Here, they fought through Bowser's forces and made their way to the Sky Garden Tower, where they were confronted by Spewart from the Broodals, who were trying to stop them. After defeating the rabbit, Mario and Cappy made their way to the top of the Iron Mountain, where they found the Secret Flower Field. Inside it, they fought and destroyed Torkdrift, freeing Steam Gardens from Bowser's control.

Inhabitants

The Steam Gardeners call Steam Gardens home. They tend to the flowers and maintain the machinery. A couple of them run a Crazy Cap stall.

Uproots live in burrows around the Steam Gardens.

A T-Rex lives in the Deep Woods.
