Merry Mountain is a warmly lit village on the mountainside, surrounded by mountains and decorated by holiday lights and presents.
The track's concrete placement is still up for debate. However, its closest approximation would be the North Pole of Mario's Planet.
History
Mario Kart Tour
Merry Mountain was first introduced in the 2020 Winter Tour of Mario Kart Tour. Several Tours were held there, some modified tracks allowing the racers to perform more tricks or even drive backward.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: Booster Course Pass
Merry Mountain was revisited as the third course of the Moon Cup in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: Booster Course Pass Grand Prix.
Description
Merry Mountain is situated on a snowy mountain. The village is described to be lively and festive,[1] decorated by holiday lights, trains hauling presents,[2] and lined with candy cane-like street lamps and warmly lit storefronts.[3][4] The villagers seem to be Shy Guys, Toads, and Yoshis, those three being positioned infront of the village's houses.[3][5] Some of the pine cone trees are decorated for the holidays, which includes a star on top. The brick flooring and supports for some buildings are even decorated in a holiday green-red pattern.
Most largely, the top of the mountain is littered with large presents. A larger building, fashioned to resemble a stack of presents, seems to always haul in and out empty red baskets with those being filled with presents.
