Mario's Tennis was a tennis game between Mario's friends.
History
As the first tennis game held by Mario, some of the players had problem playing,[1] or didn't know how to play in general.[2] Mario was seen as an average player, with Luigi having better court coverage due to being faster than his brother. Peach didn't like to approach the net, while Yoshi played an aggressive game by rushing the net at every opportunity.
Like Yoshi, Toad also tried to approach the net, though without a large racquet contact area. Toad's tough shots were good for Koopa Troopa though, though he suffers from court speed due to being a turtle. Donkey Kong Jr.'s strong groundstrokes allowed him to win many points from the baseline, serving him as the most powerful of all the players.[3]
