Manhole
History
Yoshi is placed in charge of upholding pieces of loose manhole covers in order for young Toads and Donkey Kong Jr. to safely pass through and not fall into the river below.[1] Sometimes, Mario will also walk through this path.[2]
Timeline
- Yoshi appears in the Mushroom Kingdom, placing this game after previous titles where he lived on Yoshi’s Island.
- Donkey Kong Jr. is still a baby, placing this title before Super Mario Kart and Mario's Tennis.

Oil Panic
History
The top floor of a castle is lightly on fire and Bowser is on the ceiling attempting to add oil to it to make the flame bigger.[3] Mario is inside the castle with a pair of buckets, collecting these drops of oil in order to feed them to Yoshi to create Rotating Blocks, which will give Yoshi enough of a high ground to blast Bowser out of the castle's ceiling.[4]
