Famicom Grand Prix: F-1 Race was the Formula 1 Grand Prix on Earth that Mario partook in.
History
- “In this F1 race, you will compete for the Grand Prix title by racing on different circuits against the world's best.”
- —Instruction manual[1], Famicom Grand Prix: F-1 Race
Mario was on Earth and took place in a Formula 1 Grand Prix against Earth's top players. These players included:
- Mitchell Rumble, from France
- Antonio Chico, from Brazil
- George Tab, from England
- Bronco Machini, from Italy
- Howard Accelerator, from the United States of America
- Panther Pedal from West Germany
The Grand Prix included 10 courses, each one featuring a variety of twists and sharp turns. Fortunately, Mario managed to ensure his victory via his good racing skills.[2]
Timeline
- Mario travels to Tour Earth alone and takes part in a Formula 1 Grand Prix against Earth’s top players. This is likely what gave him his love for racing and his inspiration for Mario Kart later down the line.
- He doesn’t invite any of his friends, not even Luigi, so this game likely happens before future Mario racing games.
