Abstract
Donkey Kong Island is south of the Seaside Kingdom, and the Northern Kremisphere is on the Southern Continent.
Arguments
- Argument 1: The manual of |Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble states that for Dixie Kong to get to the Northern Kremisphere, she went to the southern part of Donkey Kong Island and swam to the closest mainland.[1] This means Donkey Kong Island isn't far from the mainland, and that the Northern Kremisphere is both part of the mainland and south of Donkey Kong Island.
- Argument 2: In the Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble's intro, Dixie Kong can be seen arriving at the Northern Kremisphere from the west side of the map, making it likely that the the coast would be to the west.[2]
- Argument 3: The Snowmads invading the Donkey Kong Archipelago during Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze still works with this layout, as they could have followed the coast from the north.
- Argument 4: This proposed location is along the equator, which would match the warm, tropical environment of Donkey Kong Island.[3]
- Argument 5: This proposed location is close enough to New Donk City so that the Kongs could fly there by Zeppelin, as they do during Donkey Kong Land, and escape from New Donk City back to their own Island, as they did some time after the events of Donkey Kong Jr..[4]
- Argument 6: This theory matches up with the proposed locations for the worlds of Donkey Kong (Gameboy).[5]

Abstract
Donkey Kong Island and its archipelago are south of the Metro Kingdom, and southwest of the Northern Kremisphere, which itself is located on an unmarked part of the continent the Metro Kingdom is on.
This serves as a counter-theory to Marhiin's theory above.
Arguments
- Argument 1: Big Ape City, according to Donkey Kong Lands instruction manual, was reached from Donkey Kong Island via zeppelin. This means that Donkey Kong Island and New Donk City are quite close together in terms of location.
- Argument 2: During the story mode of Donkey Konga 2, Donkey Kong and his friends visit a large City which can be seen off the coast of Donkey Kong Island. Assuming that city to be New Donk City, that would place the island somewhere south of the Metro Kingdom.
- Argument 3: The manual for |Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong’s Double Trouble! states that for Dixie Kong to get to the Northern Kremisphere, she goes to the “southern shores” of Donkey Kong Island and swims “to the nearest mainland”. This means Donkey Kong Island isn't too far from the mainland, and that Northern Kremisphere is both part of the mainland and most easily reached from the sandy south of Donkey Kong Island.
- Argument 4: In Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong’s Double Trouble!’s intro, we see Dixie arriving at the Northern Kremisphere from the west side of the map, which indicates the coast of the region is to the west.
- Argument 5: The Snowmads, who hail from the North Pole, arrive at Donkey Kong Island from the west. This lines up perfectly with their fleet needing to sail around the Metro Kingdom peninsula, following the coast from the Snow Kingdom.
