Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze was the invasion on Donkey Kong Island and other nearby islands by the marauding Snowmads.
History
Today was Donkey Kong's birthday. Cranky Kong, Diddy Kong, and Dixie Kong were all there there to celebrate it with him.
Far off, however, a fleet of Snowmad ships are starting to board Donkey Kong Island. Despite a pointy tucks' fear for the Kongs, Lord Fredrik blows on his horn and summons a massive ice dragon which sends the group of Kongs all the way to Lost Mangroves while DK Island is converted into a state of perpetual winter, a perfect environment for the Snowmads.[1]
Launched far and away, the Kongs make their long trip back via the five islands, defeating many of the Snowmad's important members, bases, and placing themselves as a big threat to their operations.
They finally return to DK Island and climb up the volcano, where Lord Fredrik placed himself.[2] A brutish fight happens, and Fredrik gets punched to his ship, breaking it in two and dissipating the blizzardous clouds hanging on the island.[3] Fredrik then makes a big splash on his fleet of Snowmad ships, destroying it. The splash caused Donkey Kong to get his hands on the horn Fredrik used and uses it himself, unleashing a flurry of warm flowers that melts the ice around DK Island. All of the Kongs then celebrate their victory by playing music.
Sometime after, Donkey Kong gets a present which is the last key to fully form the mysterious relic they had been collecting throughout trying to return to their island.[4] They discover Secret Seclusion and finish its tricky challenges.
