BS Super Mario USA was Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad's numerous returns to Subcon to face off against the 8 bits, who were terrorizing several Subcons.
History
While Wart and the rest of the 8 bits were driven out of one Subcon since the events of Super Mario Bros. 2, it turns out that there were as many Subcons as people dreamed of. Thus, the 8 bits quietly slipped away into another Subcon to repeat their evil actions.[1]
The commander of Subcon asked his king to bring back Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad to save Subcon yet again. All throughout the adventure, Mario's side would be aided by the power of the stars to aid them in their adventure, such as annihilating enemies on the screen, receiving small invincibility, increased jump power, and other types of support. On Wart's side, however, they would also use the power of the stars, but in devious ways such as throwing eggs or turning their troops into bombs.
