Mario Land is a country on Nin likely found somewhere near the Mushroom Kingdom, founded by the collective efforts of Mario and Luigi Mario, Princess Peach Toadstool of the Mushroom Kingdom, Wario, Donkey Kong, and Yoshi. After King Bowser Koopa's attempts to take over the nation during the events of Mario Party 2, Mario assumed rule over Mario Land. Some time later, Wario seized control while Mario was away in Sarasaland saving Princess Daisy from Tatanga in Super Mario Land, but Mario Land was quickly retaken by Mario in Super Mario Land 2.
